Thursday September 22nd marked the launch of DBSA’s second event!
We decided to hold a lemonade stand where we offered a nice refreshing drink and some cookies to our fellow students, whilst also getting the word out on our new student association. It was an exciting moment, as we finally had our very own business cards to hand out as well!
We set up at first floor of the L building, near the main entrance, with our handmade sign, cookies, and lemonade. We also had a sheet where students could leave us their email, and another with a survey of what types of workshop/events they would be interested in attending.
We were nervous at first, as we didn’t know what to expect. To our surprise, we ended up with a huge crowd! Many of the students who came up were genuinely interested in our association. A few even asked us how they can join and get involved with us.
At the end of our event, we ended up receiving three full pages of emails, and were able to give all of our lemonade away! Our first event was a success and we all couldn’t be happier!
Don’t worry if you were not able to attend our lemonade stand event. With this being such a huge success, we definitely plan to hold more events like this in the future. Stay tuned for more updates!
